Neeta

   Neeta was born in Mumbai in a respected and peace-loving Sikh family. She has been sketching and painting with mixed media since she was a child. Her passion for texture, forms and color stays with her. She believes her art is the outcome of practise. From amateur figurative animated work to mature spiritual work she has gone a long way and believes she has miles to go in her evolution as a better artist.    

   She enjoys making customised art for people and discusses their taste and home and office interiors so that the painting fits right in. 

 

    Neeta has studied textile design and worked at a printing factory where she designed the prints for fabrics that were being sold at retail stores in Mumbai. 

 

    She taught art to children in Singapore for 8 years and in 2012 in Mumbai she started her own Art school and studio called The Art Cottage. She held Art and Story birthday parties for children. 

 

     She now lives in California with her husband Ujjal and son Ekam. she takes custom orders for acrylic and oil on canvas.
